Yamba Main Beach

Convent Beach
Convent Beach at the southern end in February 2000.  Natural rock boulders armour the foreshores of Yamba Point.

Pippi Beach
Indurated Sand Cliffs at Pippi Beach indicate a slowly receding & ancient shoreline.

Turners Beach
Turners Beach in February 2000, from Pilot Hill looking to the north.  The beach has plenty of sand with possible building up of sand underwater on the southern edge of the training wall.

MHL is responsible for the collection of coastal and estuarine oceanographic and hydraulic data along the NSW Coast.  This data can be accessed through the MHL website.

Study Timetable & Key Consultation Dates

Stage One of the Study is due for completion soon.  Stage Two is currently underway and a Public Meeting was held in May. Minutes from this meeting will be posted on the web site soon.

A Draft of the Management Plan is scheduled for public exhibition early next year.
